Currently seeking a Surety Underwriting Assistant to provide administrative support and process Contract and Commercial Surety new business and renewals, coordinate and manage process of sending out contract bond status reports, provide back-up and support for surety systems issues and help train agents to use ExpressWrite Surety. Other duties include preparing underwriting information for the underwriter on renewal and new business accounts, reviewing applications to determine missing information, and ordering credit reports, reference letters, etc., as required by the underwriter. The selected candidate will work from our corporate office in Sarasota or regional office in Richardson, Texas.

*Title will be commensurate with experience level

Education & Qualifications

  • 2 years relevant surety experience or related experience
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Solid knowledge of FCCI underwriting guidelines
  • Solid working knowledge of all surety coverages, rating rules, underwriting and loss control principles and concepts
  • Solid working knowledge of surety forms and endorsements
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
