Consulting Health Actuary opening in Minnesota, Illinois, New York or Wisconsin.
Job Duties: Consult to health insurance companies, hospitals, government, and pharmaceutical companies on individual medical and group health care reform modeling for health plans; define underwriting policies and perform risk score analysis; price alternative plan designs and define product strategy; monitor retention and lapse rates; define strategies to influence based on data; prepare and review reserves; assess and model ROI for medical management and other health plan initiatives; prepare and present client presentations and reports.
Ideal candidate is near ASA or through new FSA with 5+ years of health actuarial experience; should enjoy travel.
