Position Overview:

The Sr Account Executive will be responsible for providing internal and external liaison and in-house service for clients. This individual will support the sales team and identify sales opportunities by evaluating client’s current situation and identifying and pursuing new product, distribution, or service opportunities. The Sr Account Executive will manage the implementation process by coordinating and completing tasks associated with installation planning and execution, as well as managing client relationships by building and maintaining a positive relationship with key client contacts. Additionally, the individual will facilitate relationship building between client and utility resources and will manage the integrity of client data by ensuring quality of business arrangement data from proposal through implementation process. The Sr Account Executive will also manage contracting activities, evaluate our client’s financial performance, and will provide management and clients with recommendations to assure program profitability.

Primary Job Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

  • Grow premium and revenue for the business through new installations and other growth initiatives. Develops client specific marketing strategies and new installation plans, coordinating flow with support areas and team members.
  • Coordinates marketing materials as needed.
  • Leads projects assigned to completion from beginning to end. Projects could include installing a new client; implementing a new product for an existing client; or implementing a new distribution method. Potential special projects as well.
  • Analyzes and evaluates information and requirements for moderate issues, projects and processes. Resolves many questions and problems, refers more difficult items to higher levels.
  • Troubleshoots problems or issues through to completion, on behalf of assigned clients with guidance from Manager and other business personnel. Identifies trends and recommendations for resolution for issues.
  • Trains or oversees coordination of training for clients on products, processes and systems. Has a good understanding of company products, services, processes and systems.
  • Knowledgeable in business of assigned clients and their related industry. Understands industry macro changes and potential impact to clients with some assistance from management.
  • Identifies improvement areas within clients and drives the initiative projects from beginning through completion. Leads initiatives to drive increased client performance.
  • Enhances communication process for keeping clients appraised on projects, product changes and regulatory matters. Maintain regular communications with client by coordinating and leading client meetings. Documents meeting minutes and oversees items through to completion.
  • Coordinates contract negotiations, maintains appropriate documentation, and updates appropriate systems or tools. Uses working knowledge of business arrangements to make certain contracts accurately reflect the mutually agreed upon terms with minimal assistance from management.
  • Coordinates and presents the Account Business Review process and materials ensuring that the documents are accurate and error free as well as address the needs and concerns of the client with guidance from management.
  • Communicates effectively by adapting style and message to diverse audiences. Enhances communication process for keeping clients and internal teams on projects, product changes and regulatory matters. Maintains regular communications with clients and internal teams by coordinating and leading client meetings. Document meeting minutes and oversees execution through to completion.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of marketing and /or business experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.
