Alexander & Schmidt is looking for an experienced IT Director who will oversee all IT functions as well as be part of the senior management team.  The IT Director will manage the company’s technology operations and the implementation of new IT systems and policies. The candidate is responsible for leading projects from initial planning through any software development and all implementation phases.  The candidate will participate with senior executive team decisions.
 
Responsibilities include:

  • Provide leadership and coordination for all IT operations.
  • Analyze the needs and workflows of different departments, and determine ways to meet business objectives by modifying existing, or developing new, information processing (IT) systems.
  • Develop project proposals. Be part of the Senior Management Team to assess and prioritize IT projects and non IT related corporate initiatives.  Complete implementations on time and within budget.
  • Oversee all information systems vendor contracts, and hold vendors accountable to meet their obligations.
  • Maintain a technical level of knowledge for all systems.  This includes expertise in infrastructure, operating systems, applications and system management.
  • Provide users with assistance in solving system-related problems.

 
Qualifications/Requirements

  • BS or MS in Business Management and IT, or equivalent related experience.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of network management and troubleshooting experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of personnel administration experience.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of corp. management and leadership
  • Extensive familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience administering cloud applications.
  • CISM or CISSP preferred, but not required. 
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct a routine needs analysis of users, manage projects and learn new systems. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communications.
  • Quick learner.  Capable of working independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, with demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks. 
  • Strong attention to detail.
