Job Introduction:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Full Stack Software Engineer who will use their problem-solving skills to support and develop creative software solutions on an Agile team that supports our Corporate Treasury and Internal Audit Organization. This individual will demonstrate a customer-centric mindset and work collaboratively with the Product Owner, Scrum Master and stakeholders to develop and implement quality software solutions across multiple applications within a diverse application portfolio with global capabilities. Candidates will be considered at the Senior Software Engineer level based on overall experience and skill level; this opening is Java Development focused and we will be looking for candidates that can demonstrate experience with current technologies such as React JS, Node JS, Spring Boot, Docker and AWS.

About the job:

  • Collaborate with Agile Engineering team to deliver creative and quality software solutions.

  • Drive full cycle end to end engineering from design through implementation.

  • Work closely with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and engineers to iteratively create technical solutions that exceed business and technical requirements.

  • In an Agile environment, work with business team members, product owners, and other software engineers to review and qualify business requirements, functional specifications, use-cases, and test plans.

  • Design, prototype and author code for software components and applications and optimize them for system performance.

  • Help drive modernization efforts using cloud-based services

  • Work along with onshore and offshore engineering and support team members with regards to sprint planning, release planning, and work prioritization across the portfolio.

  • Partner with application architects as well as other application teams to implement solutions and ensure effective integration with downstream systems.

  • Demonstrate strong technical architecture and leadership skills with ability to handle multiple activities in a dynamic and energizing environment.

Desired skills:

  • Experience with Full Stack Software Engineering including HTML, JavaScript (Angular, Thymeleaf, React JS etc.), CSS.

  • Knowledge in microservices engineering using REST or SOAP.

  • Can appropriately identify and apply industry-standard design patterns.

  • Foundational knowledge or proficient in new and emerging technologies such as AWS and Cloud, DevOps, CI/CD and MicroServices.

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication and collaboration skills.

  • Experience with agile software engineering concepts and processes.

  • Must be proactive, demonstrate initiative and be a logical thinker

  • Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery Build Pipeline

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in technical or business discipline or equivalent experience.

  • Generally 4+ years of professional experience.

  • Proficient in two or more programming languages and tools; knowledgeable in new and emerging technologies.

  • Strong Communication and negotiation skills (oral and written).

  • General knowledge of IT concepts, strategies and methodologies, IT architectures and technical standards.

  • General knowledge of a business function(s) and business operations.

  • Knowledge of layered systems architectures.

  • Understanding of shared software concepts.

  • Knowledge of architectures and technical standards.

  • Knowledge and demonstrated application of agile software engineering concepts and processes.

  • Consultative skills, including the ability to understand and assist in applying customer requirements, including drawing out unforeseen implications and making recommendations for design, the ability to define design reasoning, understanding potential impacts of design requirements.

  • Understanding of backlog tracking, burndown metrics, and incremental delivery.

  • Collaboration, prioritization, and adaptability skills required.
