How This Role Contributes to Brighthouse Financial:
An Internal Annuity Specialist focuses on the growth of annuity sales through our core distribution partners. They will drive to build new relationships and sales with financial advisors through prospecting, virtual meetings, product education and adding value to the advisor’s overall business. We are focused on helping clients achieve financial freedom with certainty and confidence, while promoting the Brighthouse Financial brand and increasing market share. This role will be a part of opening our newest Brighthouse office, located in Phoenix, AZ.

Key Responsibilities:
• Responsible for cultivating new relationships with financial advisors, increasing annuity market share within core distribution
• Ability to strategically plan and manage multiple priorities and relationships
• Formulate, design, and implement proactive web-ex meetings, call, email, and marketing campaigns that drive growth in annuity sales
• Educates financial advisors on benefits of annuities and the process of selling them as an overall part of a financial plan
• Actively engage and consult financial advisors to provide them with value-added strategies to increase business with their clients
• Creation of lead opportunities for annuity distribution partners
• Successful achievement of sales goals and metric expectations
• Tracks, maintains, and analyzes activity and opportunity progress within Salesforce
• Field travel as needed to cover identified opportunities for additional sales with distribution partners
• Leader on new distribution initiatives and campaigns
• Other duties as assigned

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
• 2-5 years previous financial services sales experience successfully selling related products
• Proven ability to grow market share through sales and prospecting
• Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment to achieve goals
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, that effectively drives others to take-action
• Proven ability to grow new and strong relationships
• Thorough knowledge of annuity industry and creativity to drive sales through campaigns
• Must hold a valid FINRA SIE, Series 6 or 7 and Series 63 license
• Must hold or obtain a state Life Insurance license with variable line of authority in their resident state
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience
• Advance industry designation a plus
