Job Description

AMCS (Allstate Management Consulting Services) is a trusted internal organization providing integrated consulting services to enable our Allstate clients to achieve Our Shared Vision. We leverage enterprise resources to build a stronger business and act as an advisory partner that helps to improve Allstate performance by identifying and analyzing innovative business and technology opportunities, architecting new operating models, designing and improving business processes, and providing organizational redesign services. We understand the organization and are able to influence business strategy by partnering with leadership and acting as connectors, bringing the right voices and fact-based information together so that business and technology leaders can make informed decisions that benefit our customers.

This position reports to a Senior Manager and will be responsible for leading the development and execution of management consulting projects to drive transformational change. In addition, this resource will be responsible for supporting the development of lower-level team members, maintaining the methodology of the consulting services and cultivating and fostering complex client partnerships and relationships. This resource should have a management consulting background with significant experience leading large scale digital transformation initiatives.

Relationship Building: Builds, cultivates, and maintains long term relationships within the organization to support project delivery. Develops positive relationships based on trust with partners, effectively communicating across teams, departments, business partners, and users.

Communication: Communicates effectively in challenging and complex situations. Presents complicated information with efficiency. Assesses the audience during oral presentations, and when necessary can adapt messages in the moment to provide the greatest impact. Ensures the message has been generally understood prior to proceeding.

Project Scoping, Project Contracting, Project Delivery and Project Management:

Manages the development of proposals and approaches for single or multi-phase complex projects that span multiple teams or areas. Provides thought leadership in identifying client needs and designing strategies and solutions to meet those needs with the appropriate management consulting methodology. Ensures project approaches and strategies support organization and business goals. Demonstrates financial acumen by articulating the business value for engagements. Leads contracting conversations of a complex nature to ensure client and consultant needs are identified and intended outcomes are understood. Identifies changes to deliverables and scope. Manages the expectations of customers.

Executes complex projects and programs. Takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions. Provides assumptions for models, interprets results, and reviews and provides feedback to improve the quality of deliverables. Designs and presents strategic summaries of analysis and recommendations for multiple audiences, including executive level. Leads the development of client documentation and presents results and recommendations to the client. Leads client presentations and conducts complex and high-level or sensitive interviews, focus groups and workshops. Provides timely communication of project health. Identifies issues and risk, and forms hypotheses, formulating and implementing recommendations/solutions for clients/users. Manages the resolution of issues. Monitors client satisfaction of delivery.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree is required for this position. A Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or advanced degree is desired but not required.
  • 5+ years’ experience in management consulting, business transformation and operating model design, process design and modeling, and/or program and project management is preferred. Experience leading business projects with a focus on how digital and emerging technologies impact optimal business designs is desired but not required.

The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation, which includes a drug screen.
