Job Description

The Media Strategy and Investments Planner drives Allstate core line campaign strategy, planning and investment oversight. This person will also be responsible for full funnel media strategy & planning for various brand and product programs. They will serve as a key internal stakeholder to evaluate, understand and set business objectives, and ultimately ensure objectives are met. This collaborative, highly-engaged person is relied on as the subject matter expert to internal and external stakeholders such as product, measurement, analytics, brand marketing, corporate relations, operations and third-party media partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • In partnership with the Senior Media Manager, develop, plan, launch and monitor integrated media strategies
  • Coordinate efforts with Media Buyers, Measurement, Analytics, Brand Marketing and Product teams to determine business objectives, develop plans across programmatic, paid social and acquisition (paid search) tactics
  • Define and leverage media consumption habits by audience segment
  • Develop plans that most effectively reach desired target audiences that will support short, mid and long-term brand health & policy growth objectives
  • In partnership with marketing, analytics, research, and administration; measurement, define and establish metrics for success, and evolving methodologies to address complex research and measurement needs
  • Interpret results into actionable insights and make recommendations that drive incremental brand health & growth and overall improved efficiencies
  • Report on key metrics for campaign effectiveness among relevant internal stakeholders
  • Serve as subject matter expert for and establish a solid working relationship with program stakeholders inside and outside of media, including executive leadership

  • Prepare and deliver campaign presentations to stakeholders, distilling complex matters into non-technical terms for executive decision makers
  • Lead the development of communication strategies
  • Keep apprised of continually changing data usage regulations and any associated downstream impact to media campaigns
  • Serve as a key point of contact for third party media partners including DSPs, social media platforms & external agency, Google and other direct inventory partnerships
  • Establish and utilize metrics to interpret overall program results, trends and potential needs
  • Provide key consumer insights, market trends and opportunities to improve effectiveness of programs by soliciting input from key stakeholders and leveraging research
  • Consult on and assist with negotiation of favorable contracts in partnership with Senior Media Manager and Media Operations team
  • Assist the Senior Media Manager in yearly planning and defining team goals & objectives
  • Manage various budget, invoicing and financial needs

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with concentration in Business, Finance, Marketing or Analytics preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of previous media planning experience; combination of business, finance, product, digital and/or marketing analytics experience is a plus
  • Aptitude to build and maintain strong cross-functional working relationships
  • Ability to provide insightful feedback on business questions related to media and ad technology, data and optimization
  • Excel skills, including understanding of formulas, functions and analyzing results
  • Insurance, Financial Services or service industry knowledge preferred
  • Organization and project/program management skills
