The Finance Team

The Role

This role will support the Finance, Planning & Reporting team within Arity. The Finance, Planning & Reporting team is responsible for creating and managing best practice financial processes, performing financial planning and reporting, creating analytics to assess financial product performance and identify trends.

This individual will work collaboratively across the cross-functional Arity team focusing on analyzing and communicating financial results, managing finance and accounting processes to ensure the accuracy and transparency of financial results and product development efforts. Formulate financial projections to predict and track performance, diagnose potential issues and prompt corrective actions. Ensure Arity Finance, Planning & Reporting teams’ credibility and reputation of high quality (accurate, timely, relevant) financial measurement, reporting, planning and consulting.

Responsibilities
This role will support the Finance team within Arity and will be focused on creating processes and analytics to mature Arity’s financial reporting, processes and drive Arity product portfolio decisions.

Specifically, the candidate will:

  • Work with finance and accounting areas across Allstate to create and drive ‘best practices’ within Arity
  • Own AP/AR processes for Arity and ensure proper integration and coordination with Allstate
  • Understand and assist in driving efficiencies in cost center structure
  • Recommend improvements to Arity process and SOX Control documentation
  • Assist in the development of monthly Arity ‘close’ processes
  • Proactively contributes to an environment of continual improvement within and across Arity teams
  • Develop and lead effective presentations for small groups
  • Provide accurate, timely reports with financial insight to allow Arity Leadership to improve product and organizational performance
  • Assist in analyzing Arity financials to help drive action as well as increase transparency related to processes for corporate allocations
  • Isolate key drivers, quantify impacts, begin to identify significant payments, and forecast implications to the business
  • Prepare and help build storyline for financial updates
  • Use analysis to help influence and drive action within finance, and Arity leadership by using fact-based, holistic and forward-looking perspectives
  • Inspire trust and confidence with Arity leadership
  • At this level, an analyst may be required to train and review the work of other analysts

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience: minimum of 2years of related experience
  • Working knowledge of financial and accounting concepts
  • Intermediate analytical skills, financial acumen and financial model building skills
  • Strong attention to details
  • Intellectual curiosity and drive for continuous improvement - personally and with work assignments
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Effective task and time management and organization skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Experience presenting to business clients and management
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
