Job Description
This position is with Allstate Dealer Services; an emerging business unit within Allstate family of companies. Allstate Dealer Services provides Finance and Insurance products and services to the retail automotive industry.
The Senior Regional Sales Manager (SRSM) must maintain strong business relationships and through leadership, gain alignment and momentum in delivering Company sales and service goals. To meet these responsibilities, the SRSM, with input from the National Direct Channel Director, establishes the strategic direction, effectively directs sales and sales support activities and is responsible for the recruitment and development of employees and producers.
Accomplished by effectively leading the people who perform those activities. In addition, the SRSM develops, leads, communicates, and implements product distribution strategies designed to generate profitable growth. The SRSM must develop, build and maintain strong positive relationships with existing agents/sellers. In addition, must recruit new agents/sellers by promoting the sale of ADS products and training services.
Key Responsibilities
Day to day responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Leads all sales-related activity within assigned region, with input from the National Channel Leader
- Develop relationships with direct agents and serve as sales support for existing ARM assigned accounts.
- Support accounts in assigned territory as per the guidelines for ARM support activity

Develop a positive and productive working relationship with ADS direct agents
- Determine and coordinate regional conquest activities and opportunities and establish a new account acquisition strategy in conjunction with opportunities identified through production reports.

Complete bi monthly production reviews with National Sales Director and National Channel Leader for assigned region in all product lines. Conduct monthly ARM production reviews for each territory.
- Support National Sales Director, National Channel Leader and National Training Manager with the development of sales tools and materials needed to facilitate the account acquisition strategy
- Utilize ARMs to execute new account acquisition strategy to grow the ADS product sales and production within the market

Develop a timely and robust strategy for responding to competitive threats and defectors based upon account size and level of urgency
- Support National Sales Director and National Channel Leader National Training Manager with the development of sales tools and materials needed to mitigate defection risk
- Utilize ARMs to execute the defection mitigation plan created by ADS sales management
- Coordinate all necessary direct agent education and development with the National Sales Director, National Channel Leader and National Training Manager to ensure account development activity and lead generation, acquisition and account development

- Ensure ARM completion of Account Development Analysis as the core of the Regional Account Development strategy
- Conducting periodic reviews of producing direct agent and dealer accounts with the ARM to ensure strong dealer relationships and production levels are maximized
- Monitors agency business results and determines when to terminate contracts with underperforming agencies for their specific region.
- Handles independent agency conflicts and disputes over territories and accounts for their specific region.
- Monitor and manage loss ratios. Review loss ratios for the territory, consult with the loss control department, and help facilitate necessary action when needed.
- Evaluating ARM performance and identifying strengths and development opportunities
- Training and developing ARM during in field visits to address growth opportunities in areas of new account acquisition and account relationship development
- Ensure that the regional talent is aligned proportionately to account value and opportunities
- Communicate regional success stories to National Sales Director and National Channel Leader.
- Execute ADS processes and strategies in accordance with ADS best practices
- Coordinate training and support activity for assigned Finance and Insurance Specialist. Work directly with FIS in developing the skills necessary for future ARM opportunity.
- Work with National Training Manager to plan, as needed, the identification and complete training and development needs for ARMs and FISs
- Work with National Training Manager to ensure that the delivery of regional training and certification workshops, seminars and classes meet the needs of the assigned region. Work directly with Sr. Instructors to ensure competency of entire regional team in delivery of training to established certification standards
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of dealership Finance and Insurance (F & I) department
- AFIP Certified
- At least 7 years in retail dealership Finance and Insurance experience
- At least 7 years marketing finance and insurance products to dealers
- Candidates must have excellent verbal, written and public speaking communication skills
- Exceptional problem solving and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform individual and group training
- Ability to perform simple mathematics
- Strong computer skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
- College Degree Required
- Ability to travel 50-75% of time depending on assigned territory
