Liberty Mutual’s Technology Finance organization is looking for a Financial Analyst. In this position, you will use your analytical skills and knowledge of reporting tools to generate monthly consolidated financial packages for Technology’s CFO and CIOs. You will also support the monthly analysis, budgeting and forecasting processes for Workgrid Software, Liberty Mutual’s internally developed software (myHub) which has been marketed to external customers. And you will use your broad accounting and finance knowledge to ensure book close deliverables are met while also providing internal and external stakeholders with valuable insights.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate financial reporting packages and consolidate commentary from various operational areas to be shared with Technology’s CFO and CIOs

  • Coordinate exhibits for post book close meetings for the Technology Finance department

  • Support the accounting, budgeting and forecasting processes for Workgrid Software and provide analytical insight into variances

  • Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations as part of the month end book close

  • Support the maintenance of Technology reporting tools (e.g. Hyperion cubes, Clarity/Apptio, Power BI, ITFAR)

  • Evaluate opportunities for efficiencies and improvements to processes, controls and Technology systems

  • Participate in Technology’s transition to a new PPM (Project Portfolio Management) tool, Apptio

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (Finance or Accounting preferred) or equivalent experience.

  • A minimum of 1 year of financial related experience is preferred.

  • Basic understanding of accounting and finance knowledge/skills is required.

  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills and decision-making abilities.

  • Knowledge of tools, techniques and processes for data gathering and reporting and analysis of financial data and key metrics; Understands interrelationships and dependencies among various financial systems preferred.

  • Hyperion Planning, Essbase/SmartView, GQL, Power BI, and Apptio experience a plus, but not required.
