How This Role Contributes to Brighthouse Financial:

This role is responsible for the development and implementation of strategic marketing initiatives to increase sales of life insurance and annuity products within our strategic external distribution partners. The Channel Marketing Consultant plays a critical role working with sales and distribution team to support our strategic firms, leading marketing and promotional campaigns to increase awareness, consideration, and market penetration at those firms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute channel-specific marketing strategies, including specific plans, campaigns, and initiatives to grow favorability and increase sales in assigned strategic firms
  • Partner closely with sales leaders to develop channel-specific marketing campaigns, and channel specific materials and sales tools including sales concepts, product and training materials
  • Coordinate planning and execution of follow-up activities with internal departments such as sales desk, user experience and data analytics teams
  • Analyze results of activities and present findings and recommendations to senior management and key firm management partners to increase advisor engagement
  • Promote and drive engagement for Brighthouse Financial at firm conferences and national conferences
  • Support firm focus month campaigns
  • Mentor junior members of the Channel Marketing team
  • Other special projects as required

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Communications preferred
  • 7 to 8 years relevant business experience
  • Ability to create strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to work without supervision
  • Ability to think strategically and apply creative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively plan, develop, and execute marketing campaigns
  • Project management skills; requiring strong cross-functional team facilitation and attention to detail
  • Agency/vendor management preferred
  • Must currently hold FINRA series 6 license or the ability to obtain within 6 months of start date
