Job Description
Allstate’s Consolidation Accounting department has an immediate opening for an Accounting-Sr Cons II. This team is responsible for accounting close functions, consolidation of segment and Allstate GAAP and Statutory reporting, and special projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Monthly accounting close processes and reporting. Prepare and record journal entries, reporting & analysis, and other responsibilities.
- Prepare or review segment or consolidated financial statements and analysis.
- GAAP and Management Reporting. Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual schedules to comply with internal and external reporting requirements.
- Prepare or review Statutory quarterly consolidation processing and the annual Allstate Insurance Co consolidated financial statements used in the annual audit.
- Supervise and review the work of other staff
- Collaborate within the department and other business areas
- Lead special projects to support business initiatives and process improvements
- Perform back up duties for the team, as needed
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred
- Four or more years of related accounting or Finance experience
- Strong GAAP accounting knowledge
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and in team settings
- Advanced Excel skills
- Problem solving skills
- SAP knowledge a plus
