The program

We are offering a one year training contract with the opportunity to become a permanent underwriter in our Cyber & Executive Risk or Property Division.  The training program is made up of three core parts and during each one there is a structured training program with the chance for you to get exposure to different work and people across the business.  There will be assessments during each phase and one-to-one feedback to ensure you get all the support you need to be successful.

Selection Process

We want to make sure our candidates have the skills required to be great underwriters. The process starts with a phone interview with a member of Beazley’s Talent Management team.   Upon being selected, you will be asked to attend our Graduate Assessment Centre.  During this time we’ll be assessing you across a range of activities, written exercises and client simulations.  You’ll also be undertaking some aptitude and psychometric assessments as well as structured interviews. 

Upon successful completion of the Assessment Centre, you will be invited to our Underwriting Career Development Program.

We expect you to have strong analytical skills, to evaluate risks and make solid business decisions. You will also need excellent interpersonal skills to work with brokers and other teams across Beazley. We like our underwriters to be results oriented, self-motivated, flexible and enthusiastic with a strong sense of service and team work.
