ALPS Corporation, a dynamic and growing professional liability insurance and services company, is seeking self-driven individuals for a Underwriting position in Missoula, Montana.  The Underwriter will be part of a team whose responsibility is to maintain a profitable growth of the ALPS book of business. ALPS is the nation’s largest direct writer of LPLI and is an endorsed carrier by more State Bar Associations than any other carrier in the country.

The primary responsibility of this Underwriting role is to provide strategic assessment of risk , which includes analyzing applications, determining insurability at acceptable pricing and terms within the limits of underwriting authority, and binding coverage.  This position requires additional duties such as mentoring colleagues, providing customer service to internal and external customers, and participation in group projects centered on overall organizational goals.  

We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and be a natural problem solver. Previous Insurance experience highly recommended.
