Lead, Digital Content Marketing

Align Content Strategy to our client’s “why”:(The Opportunity)

You will create and manage a cross-functional content marketing strategy that aligns with “why” our clients engage with us and serves as the backbone of inbound and outbound marketing strategies aligned to Assurant’s key business goals.

You will develop and curate content that helps promote and successfully meet goals for lead generation, product launches, events, brand awareness, retention, cross-selling and more. This is a unique opportunity to build and scale Assurant’s inbound & content marketing strategy from the ground up! You will be delivering holistic content plans that span full buyer journeys and map out the different digital touch-points along the way.

Working within the Digital Marketing Team, you will have responsibility for expanding our digital footprint, driving traffic, increasing audience awareness & engagement. You will work with a bright group of Marketing Leads to translate the business line activity into content opportunity and success. In addition to supporting the growth of the Assurant brand and business lines, there are opportunities to work closely with Assurant’s clients across several industries such as financial institutions, retail, automotive and manufacturing.

Accelerate Content Marketing:(What You Will Do)

Content Marketing

  • Set vision and create inbound/content marketing strategy aligned with global goals
  • Lead annual content audits and assessments and develop improvement plans
  • Drive cross-functional content planning process to identify, discover and develop content topic themes
  • Own and manage omni-channel content marketing calendar, advocacy publishing plans, and pitch documents ensuring cohesive and transparent efforts across key stakeholders
  • Co-develop business case and buy-in for marketing automation and lead nurturing processes.
  • Drive successful use cases for automated campaigns across the buyer’s journey.
  • Manage day-to-day execution on all approved plans and campaigns. May in some cases require overseeing agency work.
  • Give direction to creative resources and oversee creation of content for campaigns under your leadership
  • Help set, and work to, performance indicators for relatable and engaging content
  • Define, track and report on success metrics for key stakeholders
  • Track, report, and analyze campaign performance and analytics
  • Build and manage target audience content aligned to business growth strategies
  • Defines standards and best practices for all campaigns related to field of expertise
  • Deliver, test, optimize and measure an approach for leveraging curated content
  • Measure subscriber and leads growth activity and opportunities

Web

  • Build systems and protocols for new web content launches and existing sites
  • Work cross functionally to develop web content and timed launches and programs to attract a qualified audience and drive conversions

Social

  • Plan and execute an organic social strategy and calendar that aligns back to priority content topics, reputational themes and IMC initiatives
  • Identify opportunities across social channels to promote

Corporate Advocacy

  • Enhance and progress corporate advocacy strategy to on-board new spokespersons, aligning to spokesperson platforms, content themes, content marketing calendar and IMC goals.
  • Strategy brand positioning, utilization of amplification channels and alignment of content and audience journeys
  • Discover needs, share enterprise level plans and foster content strategy integration with international & business unit marketing counterparts
  • Drive increased understanding and buy-in for content marketing best practices across the organization
  • Foster alignment on global digital content strategy and tailored content marketing plans by audience segment

Your Experience & Success:(What You Will Bring)

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications field
  • 7+ years’ experience in Marketing, 5 of it in Content Marketing
  • 2+ years’ experience in content creation and distribution strategy
  • Experience developing and worked with personas and user journeys and has past experiences building audiences online or offline
  • Experience and innovation with digital content strategy in Financial Services, Insurance or other similar complex industry is desirable
  • A background in content and inbound marketing roles with a proven track record of success
  • Excellent communicator and creative thinker with ability to use data to inform decisions
  • Attention to detail and project management skills
  • Self-motivated, versatile and someone who gets stuff done
  • Proficient in marketing automation and channel-specific knowledge (paid, social, seo, blog, etc.)
  • HTML/CSS, Adobe Creative Suite skills are preferred
