Do you have strong analytical and customer service skills? Do you enjoy accuracy, solving puzzles and working as a team? Then an opportunity as a Premium Auditor / Reviewer is the one for you! The Premium Auditor will analyze field audits submitted by our field reps and conduct voluntary audits to determine the actual exposures and premium to be charged for policy coverages.
Our Premium Auditor is located in our San Diego main office and will work with our nationwide field reps.
ABOUT YOUR JOB
- Conduct timely and accurate premium audit reviews.
- Conduct voluntary audits from information submitted by our customers
- Resolve minor audit disputes
- Work with billing teammates to ensure quality billing results
- Correspond with Insureds/Agents/Company personnel
- Research classifications and operations to ensure accurate billings
- Make recommendations for policy changes or corrections
- Collaborate and correspond with our field reps, other reviewers, underwriters and agents
- Handle incoming phone inquiries
- Monitor the audit review queue and alert management to any potential backlogs
- Clarify voluntary and physical audits by contacting insureds as needed
- Communicate with NCCI/WCIRB regarding classification and technical issues
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least one year of experience working as a Field Premium Auditor or Audit Reviewer. APA, CIPA and CPCU desirable, but not required. Must have good working knowledge of Workers’ Compensation Insurance. Must be aware of and understand a variety of payroll and accounting systems, and the differences in Workers’ Compensation jurisdictions. Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical journals, financial reports or legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to management and public groups. Ability to calculate and apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Clear and concise business writing skills. Competent in use of Microsoft Excel and Word.
