Job Summary
This position requires a self-driven technically competent individual with ability to apply knowledge of software engineering to develop effective automation strategies for functional and non-functional tests in an Agile/Devops environment. The incumbent will also act as a technology advocate and will independently seek opportunities where technology can be utilized to improve the business.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
Bond and Specialty Insurance is seeking a senior software development engineer in test (SDET) who would provide strategy and thought leadership with respect to Quality Engineering, and Quality Assurance, in a highly automated SAFe / Agile environment.
Key activities will include
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of current and emerging industry trends and techniques with respect to Quality Engineering and Assurance, Test Data Management, Test Automation frameworks for Continuous Integration and Delivery, and related elements of a highly automated software delivery pipeline.
  • Coordinating design and installation of test automation architecture, tools and databases.
  • Designing functional and non-functional test automation strategy and processes.
  • Building, maintaining, and utilizing partnerships across the enterprise ensuring the best use of resources.
  • As CoE lead, adopting and communicating new concepts, ideas, techniques, best practices and technology assistance
  • Collaborating with other CoE functions to provide optimal solutions


Minimum Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or its equivalent in work experience, and five years of programming/development experience.

Education, Work Experience & Knowledge
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • 5 to 7 years of hands on software and test automation development.

Required experiences and skill set:
  • Demonstrates hands on experience with applicable technologies, applications, systems, frameworks, and/or programming languages and can influence and/or set technical direction or defect resolution
  • Able to evaluate and leverage pre-existing services and frameworks.
  • Leverages enterprise and industry best practices and standards.
  • Builds, leverages, and maintains effective alliances across technical and business community.
  • Demonstrates sound analytical and diagnostic skills dealing with issues that are loosely defined and where information is available but must be further manipulated.
  • Openly and directly confronts conflict until resolved. Knows how to execute to get things done. Optimizes the use of all available resources.
  • Keeps apprised of industry trends and applies this knowledge to solutions.
  • Able to set and assign technical goals and priorities for self and team members. Exhibits team leadership. Able to set team's technical direction.


Preferred Qualifications
Desired experiences and skill set in below area:
  • Experience with programming languages, preferably.Net
  • Working knowledge of infrastructure technologies such as Network, Database, Server, Storage etc.
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Delivery concepts and techniques
  • Familiar with Agile Development Methodology
