Job Description

The ERRM (Enterprise Risk & Return Management) Strategic Risk Consultant role creates focused and transparent risk and return reports for senior management, board, internal and external parties. The role provides support to business areas to assist them in understanding enterprise impact of risks and opportunities, leveraging best practices and improving risk-informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the creation of ERRM (Enterprise Risk & Return Management) reports and presentations for senior leadership, board, internal and external parties. Assist in building a clear and concise storyline through summarizing issues, actions, trends and opportunities
  • Leverage data to analyze trends and sources of risk to develop impactful insights supporting for ERRM reporting
  • Conduct external research to identify developments that potentially impact our risk-return profile
  • Collaborate with business partners to understand risk-return positions, strategies, and emerging trends
  • Apply standards and guidelines around the ERRM framework, including risk identification, measurement, monitoring, management and reporting
  • Inspire trust and confidence in business areas through strategic and diplomatic handling of relationships
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • A minimum of 4+ years of financial analysis, risk governance, audit or compliance experience
  • BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Business or related area of study
  • Intermediate business knowledge (i.e. insurance industry, enterprise risk management)

Functional Skills

  • Advanced ability to apply analytical skills and techniques to research, analyze, synthesize and integrate data/information
  • Manage multiple priorities given aggressive timelines and be comfortable performing in a fast paced, dynamic and ambiguous business environment while managing expectations of key stakeholders
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills with the ability to build and foster relationships across the organization
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively in team environment and maximize team effectiveness
  • Intellectual curiosity and drive for continuous improvement creating an atmosphere that supports new ideas, efficiency and initiative
  • Advanced Microsoft skills required (PowerPoint, Word and Excel)
