The Global Retail Markets Product Portfolio Management team is seeking individuals with knowledge of in-market product offerings across Personal Lines and Safeco to conduct research, analyze results, and make recommendations for building new products and pricing programs.

In this role, individuals will provide operational and consultative support to conduct business operations and product-specific research. This includes conducting research to determine how new products will interact with existing products, pricing and underwriting programs, as well as product platform design research to identify gaps or dependencies. Individuals will be responsible for coding ratabase changes, completing unit testing, and working with technology partners to create user acceptance criteria based on rating changes for functional testing.

Individuals in this role will analyze feasibility based on research and present findings, strategic and tactical recommendations to solve problems, make rating changes and improve business outcomes.

Additionally, this role will collaborate with technology partners to research and recommend product technology investments, identify cross team dependencies and ensure quality.

In this role, you would:

• Conduct research to determine feasibility of implementing rating programs and present findings and recommendations (strategic and tactical) to solve problems and improve business outcomes.
• Code ratabase changes, complete unit testing, and work with technology partners to create user acceptance criteria based on rating changes for functional testing
• Provide operational and consultative support to conduct business operations and product-specific research
• Conduct research to determine how new products will interact with existing products, pricing and underwriting programs, as well as Product platform design to identify gaps or dependencies
• Present research finding and recommend changes and/or take actions based on various factors (e.g., data insights, downstream platform impacts, feedback from quality assurance reviews, etc.) to solve problems and improve business outcomes
• Analyze feasibility based on research and present findings, strategic and tactical recommendations to solve problems and improve business outcomes
• Collaborate with technology partners to research and recommend technology investments and identify cross team dependencies and ensure quality
• Depicts ideas, issues and designs to varied audiences

This is a range posting and the description is posted as a Systems Support Analyst. However, candidates will also be considered for more junior and senior roles: the actual grade for this role will depend on the candidate’s overall experience and skill level.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business or technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years related experience.
• Extensive knowledge of business operations, objectives and strategies as well as business process and information flow.
• Understanding of business practices common across many businesses.
• Extensive understanding of re-engineering approaches.
• General knowledge of IT concepts, strategies and methodologies.
• General knowledge of diverse technologies and new and current architectures.
• Skills in object, data and / or process modeling; financial analysis and planning, business value analysis; business process design.
• Negotiation, facilitation and consensus building skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
