Job Summary
Enterprise Business Intelligence & Analytics (EBIA) is seeking a Portfolio Manager to support its Master Data Management (MDM) and Shared Data platforms. MDM is a strategic enabler, supporting Travelers' by delivering thoughtful data solutions that enable key business capabilities, including entity resolution, data enrichment and 360-degree views of foundational business entities such as customers, business organizations, agencies, etc.

In this dynamic role, you will partner closely with the external lines of business along with internal MDM Product Managers and Product Owners, to assist in developing and delivering a strategic vision and objectives for the Travelers go-forward MDM Strategy. Success in this role requires significant cross-Travelers collaboration, communication and a passion for helping to bridge Travelers current and future business needs to unite the enterprise around the compelling capabilities that MDM offers.


Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the Informatica MDM product suite, examining its strengths and weaknesses, while looking for ways to fully leverage it where appropriate.
  • Perform product deep-dives to investigate opportunities for enhancements in the MDM landscape.
  • Develop a full view of the broader MDM ecosystem, and how individual areas participate. Understand both the operational and analytical benefits provided by MDM and how business and functional areas could develop strategies for applying MDM capabilities to provide value.
  • Work with MDM leaders to create a visual roadmap which will be used to help bring awareness to external customers of MDM capabilities, direction and timeline.
  • Create engaging stakeholder communications and help evolve and elevate relationship management.
  • Develop promotional and educational materials about MDM and Shared Data to improve the understanding of MDM, and accelerate adoption across the enterprise
  • Assist in operationalizing the strategic plans, translating into actionable initiatives, approaches and plans in collaboration with functional, line of business leaders to ensure the alignment of day-to-day actions with approved plans.
  • Recognize opportunities for continuous process and product improvement so we can deliver faster MDM solutions at scale with quality outcomes.
  • Be an active participant in Agile ceremonies within the MDM team and with our neighbor teams.
  • Document business use cases and requirements in support of the MDM vision.
  • Act as the primary lead in the preparation of executive-level presentations for internal and external audiences.
  • Collaborate with MDM leadership team on strategic and operational opportunities.
  • Perform strategic analysis and develops recommended actions for MDM and horizontal execution.
  • Ability to work well and build consensus among a diverse group of stakeholders to create alignment from a prioritization, business capability, delivery and support perspective.


Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required. 2 years of project management experience required.

Education, Work Experience & Knowledge
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years analytics experience preferred.
  • Experience working across functional areas within organizations preferred.
  • Proven track record of exercising strategic thinking, and the ability to develop an organized, logical strategy.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and relationship building skills with the ability to present to leadership at all levels in relevant business terms.
  • Strong influencer and/or consulting skills; able to build consensus among a diverse group of enterprise-wide stakeholders.
