Job Summary
An Analytics Co-Op is your opportunity to gain first-hand experience and receive valuable on-the-job training in the insurance industry. We'll give you cutting-edge technologies, a creative workspace, and hands-on training while earning academic credit to ready you for success in an analytical career. Along the way, you'll be supported with opportunities to develop yourself professionally and technically and customize the co-op program toward your individual development.
We offer the opportunity to:
*Design and build statistical models, analyses at the right level of complexity to produce relevant results.
*Identify, integrate and structure complex data flows
*Identify new opportunities for analytic solutions
*Validate, manipulate and perform data analysis tasks
*Qualitative and quantitative data support to ensure accuracy of metrics
*Gain knowledge about the insurance business and acquire advanced analytical experience working with key business areas
*Work in a collaborative and dynamic work environment providing recommendations to management on projects that deal with advanced analytical related concepts
This job does not manage othersThis job works under Close Supervision: Work is reviewed at several steps along the way. (Generally pertains to trainee positions.)
Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
Co-Op assignments may be in disciplines such as: Claim Business Intelligence & Analytics Personal Insurance Research & Development Business Insurance Research & Development Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Pursuing a graduate degree through an accredited and approved co-op program.
Education, Work Experience & Knowledge
Graduate, or Ph.D. track at an accredited and approved co-op program. Related internships/work experience helpful. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, R or SAS. Extra-curricular involvement on campus or in the community. Demonstrated analytical, mathematical, communication, & leadership skills.
