ANV Global Services (www.anv.eu.com) underwrites as a Global MGU with centres in Europe, London and the USA. From our offices in Jersey City, London and Barcelona, we provide underwriting expertise for related and third party insurance companies including Lloyds of London.

We are currently looking for an Underwriting Assistant to join the team in Jersey City, New Jersey.

Main scope of role:

Assist underwriters in underwriting process for new and renewal business.

• Send renewal solicitations 60 days before expiration date
• Follow up with renewal submission 30 days before expiration date if not yet received
• Enter all monetary transactions (bound accounts, endorsements, cancellations, etc.) into our local bordereau.
• Reconcile monthly corporate reports.
• Forward loss runs to respective broker
• Update all spreadsheets on a daily basis (Local Bordereau, Renewal Log and Master Log)
• Send weekly policy draft list, renewal updates, accounts to be peer reviewed to the respective underwriter
• Maintain a high level of customer service.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of new and existing wholesale broker relationships.
• Promote the growth and strong reputation of ANV Global Services / AmTrust Group.
• Assist in underwriting business in accordance with ANV’s policies / procedures, Professional Lines Business Plan, Underwriting Guidelines and Authority Statement once granted in maintaining high underwriting standards and discipline including adequate pricing, analysis and retention to ensure delivery of profitable results.
• Other related duties as assigned.
• Contribute and participate in all meetings to develop knowledge of market dynamics and to help support the performance of the team.

• PC Literate with emphasis on Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent internal and external communication, interpersonal and listening skills.
• Must be a team player who enjoys a fast paced business and entrepreneurial environment.
• College degree a plus.
• Opportunity to transition to Underwriting position in the future.
