Job Description
Allstate Insurance Company is a Fortune 100 Company that has one of the largest in-house Law departments in the nation. Allstate is posting for summer associate positions in its Law and Regulation Department.
Allstate’s summer associate program is approximately ten weeks long, and offers summer associates the opportunity to work with multiple practice groups within the department. The practice groups include Dispute Resolution Services, Corporate Governance, Insurance Operations Law, Investments and Business Transactions, Government and Industry Relations, and Innovation Law. A summer associate’s responsibilities include legal research, preparation of legal memoranda, and oral presentations – all under the supervision of a licensed Allstate attorney.
Job Qualifications
The salary is competitive, and the position begins in early June 2020. Ideal candidates should have outstanding research and writing skills, along with effective oral communication skills. Allstate is looking for second year law students who are motivated self-starters that enjoy working on challenging projects in a collaborative work environment. A resume, transcript, and writing sample are required.
The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation, which includes a drug screen.
