Job Description
**We are open to qualified individuals in the Dallas / Fort Worth, TX and Charlotte, NC markets to work from our local offices in those locations.**
The Information Security Senior Manager leads expanded teams of individual contributors focused on multiple areas within cybersecurity technical design, deployment, and ongoing operations. The Senior Manager also leads expanded teams focused on multiple areas supporting the development and evaluation of programs, processes and procedures to mitigate cybersecurity risk, ensuring protection of company information and assets, and understanding and applying pertinent industry and government regulations, contracts and requirements.
In addition, the Senior Manager sets the strategic direction for their organization in support of the business objectives of the company, ensuring the structures and processes needed to effectively deliver the mission of their organization are in place. They create a work environment that enables their employees to be their best and deliver on their accountabilities. They are personally accountable for leading organizational change, delivering business results by working across the organization and development of employees. They demonstrate a high level of influence within their own organization, with their business partners, peer leaders and senior leaders.
Key Responsibilities
• Drive comprehensive program to support diverse range of info security workstreams to support compliance to regulations.
• Enhance protection of Allstate’s most critical assets by delivering solutions across organization.
• Manage large scale programs through direct interaction with business and technology partners across enterprise.
• Allocate and manage program financials in support of integration and implementation of cybersecurity controls.
• Manage and lead technical teams across multiple areas to evaluate business technology needs, security and systems requirements, establish specifications and solution design, assess and review existing code, and perform development, integration and programming activities for applications and systems.
• Lead teams responsible for partnering with business and technical leaders and vendors to understand and plan resource needs, develop metrics and standards for performance, and perform maintenance, upgrading and resolution of all technical issues across multiple cybersecurity software applications, systems and processes.
• Manage and lead teams creating and executing governance plans and metrics for multiple and broad assigned business areas in alignment with operational needs and developing communications and processes that provide guidance and promote cybersecurity risk awareness.
• Provide overall leadership and oversight for teams performing multiple ongoing assessments of process and procedure compliance; oversee the analysis and summary of results, development of recommendations, and negotiation with senior business and technical leadership for changes and enhancements to resolve issues.
• Manage the overall evaluation and communication of guidance, interpretation and application of regulatory, contract, and industry requirements for cybersecurity governance across a broad area of expertise; direct and own partnerships with Legal and business leaders to advise course of action and develop processes for organizing and maintaining required filings and documentations.
• Coach and develop subordinates on strategies for effective communication and successfully interacting with technical business peers; analyze current and future technical skill needs for assigned area and create response plans in partnership with Learning and Development.
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• 10 or more years of related experience.
• Ability to influence others and achieve results.
• Ability to lead people and teams.
• Ability to think strategically, conceptually, analytically and creatively.
• Advanced time management skills including ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize and organize, and create alignment and buy in from clients and direct reports.
• Demonstrated clear, concise and effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to establish, manage and leverage relationships with internal and external partners.
• Ability to analyze data and apply it to complex problem resolution.
• Advanced understanding of security trends in the industry.
• Advanced understanding of expense and resource management processes as they relate to project resources and expenses. Should have the ability to make appropriate sourcing decisions based on project resource needs, demonstrate understanding of area's budget and its relationship to department level information and external customers. Be able to assist in explaining impact of project expenses on the area's overall expense plan.
• Possess a mastery level of thriving in change by setting an example, providing leadership, and coaching peers and team members, during changes that may disrupt productivity. Be able to handle ambiguity and uncertainty with maturity, adapt management style to current situations and people needs, and demonstrate the ability to make decisions under time pressures and with limited information.
