We are looking for a Software Quality Assurance (QA) engineer to develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality.

QA engineer responsibilities include designing and implementing tests, debugging and defining corrective actions. The QA technician role plays an important part in our onshore Agile team. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for writing automated tests in an agile environment to enable automation at various stages of testing - Integration, Functional testing, Regression, E2E and UAT. If you hold an engineering background and enjoy providing end-to-end solutions to software quality problems, we'd like to meet you.

Understand Project Management fundamentals. Gain business knowledge across LOB's. Develop and implement project Quality Assurance Plans. Train and mentor on QA processes. Lead process improvement initiatives.
  • Bachelors Degree in Technology or a related field preferred.
  • Four years of Technology, Business Testing, or Quality Assurance experience preferred.
  • Testing experience with Web and desktop based applications.
  • Has a working experience of at least one test automation tool (Selenium, Protractor/Gauge etc)
  • Experience of adding Automation tests in CI/CD pipeline is a plus
  • Experience working in an Agile Environment preferred.
  • Working experience with JMeter, Winium, Protractor/Gauge and Selenium tools is preferred as these tools will be used daily.
     
  • Technical Knowledge (Advanced): Demonstrates expert knowledge of business applications and processes. Has an expert knowledge of the systems interfaces with the business operations work-flow, and a solid understanding of the corporate and departmental information system strategies. Is proficient in the use of workstation applications related to the testing function. Where appropriate maintains a thorough knowledge of business trends.
  • Business Knowledge (Intermediate): Uses knowledge of internal and external factors impacting the property casualty industry to make decisions.
  • Collaboration & Prioritization (Intermediate): Works effectively to communicate with the immediate team, systems staff, other business units, service offices, agents, and customers, through a collaborative style. Demonstrates ability to adjust priorities based on changing situations. Able to handle several priority projects at once. Able to coordinate testing activities across multiple teams and across programs.
  • Problem Solving & Decision Making (Advanced): Demonstrates advanced ability to evaluate test results and resolve input problems.
  • Analytical Thinking (Intermediate): Recognizes and analyzes problems with average complexity. Considers a variety of alternatives to arrive at a timely, practical solution.
  • Communication (Intermediate): Communicates test results in a clear and comprehensive manner to aid in resolution.  Communicates with business units when appropriate, utilizing advanced written or oral skills in order to maintain system and/or product credibility.
  • Teamwork (Intermediate): Seeks out, builds, fosters and maintains productive relationships, networks or alliances to meet goals and achieve results.  Exhibits objectivity and openness to others' views. Gives and welcomes feedback. Puts success of team above their own.
 

Two years of Technology or Business Testing experience required. High school diploma or equivalent required.
