Position Overview

The purpose of the Operations Coordinator is to support the Benefits Department by performing the operational functions assigned by the Operations Analyst.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for inputting polices and other key data into EPIC or any other Finance System
  • Assist in Department trainings
  • Validate and Audit client records in the Agency database (Benefit Point and network drives) for accuracy and complete documentation
  • Serve as the primary contact for researching questions and missing revenue from the Accounting Department including contacting Carriers and/or Vendors
  • Assist with maintaining Carrier and Vendor electronic files and communications
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of experience in Benefit operations, training and/or related field
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally, with internal and external parties
  • Excellent time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with carriers, peers and clients
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge in Word, Outlook and PowerPoint

Preferred:

  • Previous Benefit experience
  • Previous EPIC experience

Working Environment

  • Work is performed indoors in a climate controlled office environment
  • General technology as it relates to office administration
  • Regular business hours with additional hours required during certain periods
  • Occasional travel between offices
