Global Risk Solutions (GRS) delivers a full range of innovative risk solutions to businesses globally-- protecting our customers from the unexpected and providing our employees with opportunities to thrive. Our team is looking for a Private Equity Leader in distribution to drive a cohesive market strategy. The existing book of business is growing rapidly and has unlimited growth potential. GRS contends with top brokers and other competitors as we increase our focus on serving this dynamic market. This leader of our PE business will bring strategic focus, enable growth, and drive consistent execution across GRS.

  • Establish countrywide “vertical like” strategy in PE Space concerning People, Marketing, Data/Reporting and Go-to- Market Strategy.

  • Role will serve as the GRS centralized executive relationship with PE practice leaders at Marsh, Aon, Willis and Lockton.
  • You will lead efforts in building and connecting our relationships with other brokerages focused on M&A business.
  • Set and drive goals with broker PE leaders countrywide o Identify and drive execution of opportunities to partner on a portfolio basis.
  • Drive growth in target industries by connecting and supporting local partnerships across segments and divisions.
  • This leadership role will be the face of Liberty (at the senior leadership level) on major accounts, working closely with executive’s and UWs around the country to coordinate across LM/GRS.
  • Will establish and drive executive relationships with the largest PE firms, set countrywide strategies and drive local execution.
  • Responsible for information and relationship development with other target PE Firms.
  • Lead efforts to understand the macro trends, active strategies, and business cycles of the industry – including PE Firm insurance purchasing habits and prioritization during M&A due diligence.
  • Drive GRS PE strategy and connect internal partners across global commercial lines.
  • Responsible to build and quarterback coordination model between all product lines.
  • The GRS reps and warranties business generates roughly $200M per year (2019 plan) and the GRS professional liability book tied to PE is roughly $10M.
  • Coordinating efforts with our partners in Investments to capitalize on their PE relationships is also a key component of this role.
  • In addition, this individual will be responsible for positioning LM/GRS as a leader in the PE space, through industry groups and speaking opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 12 or more years of relevant experience and possess the abilities to potentially mentor a team.

  • Experience working in either the insurance, broker or private equity industry.
  • Displays business courage - ability to set direction, build alignment and encourage/motivate team to meet objectives.
  • Demonstrates creativity/ambitious skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally through strong collaboration and partnering.
  • Sound negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Communicates effectively.
  • Readily adapts and responds to changing situations and intense challenges.
