Job Description

The Sr. Business Analyst leads the analysis of business requirements and requests from the business, operations, and other users of IT services for the External Data Hub team supporting the delivery of third party data for the organization in an Agile model. The Sr. Business Analyst applies knowledge and facilitative expertise to gather and define requirements, to achieve business objectives and provide innovative solutions to business problems. Acts as a lead and contact for the business divisions and technology solution providers for all aspects of solution identification.
Key Responsibilities

Partner closely with Product Owner to manage work intake:
- Consult business stakeholders and technical team to help understand the scope of work
- Facilitates business requirements sessions and documents project specifics in the form of user stories
- Identify and document business rules and process workflows
- Provide project time estimates
- Operates across technology and business professional to provide clear communication about requirements across the cross-domain team
- Participates in information sessions to document business work flows or how data is stored and maintained in the organization
- Collaborates with partners in test plan reviews to ensure plans address the testing of defined functional requirements; supports data analysis and validation from functional tests
- Consults on the functional test plans and conditions for assigned applications / projects; ensure that the test plans cover the testing of all defined functional requirements; supports data analysis and validation from functional tests
Key Responsibilities (Cont'd)
- Executes change control process to alter base-line deliverables and scope for projects of low to moderate complexity; escalates requests for deviations from process when necessary
- Participates in functional and User Acceptance Testing
- Works closely with other Business Analysts to share best practices
- Drive problem incident management that includes identifying and communicating corrective action
- Manage on-going knowledge base management (Business operations, processes, best practices and lessons learned)
Job Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years working experience as a Business Analyst with an Enterprise Organization in technical field
- Strong understanding of SDLC / Agile Delivery Methodologies
- Strong Analytical skills
- Experience writing functional requirements
- Possesses communications skills to successfully work with senior leaders in daily activities
Preferred Skills
- Software development team support experience preferred
- Insurance and project management experience preferred
