Key Responsibilities
- Research and develop database product strategy roadmap for the enterprise
- Develop database high-availability architecture strategies for on-prem and cloud
- Develop and document data architectural solutions and recommendations for business products.
- Lead technical conversations with domain architects, application developers, data-scientists on solutions and issues specific to data / information architecture.
- Ensure existing data/information assets are identified, stewarded, governed and leveraged across the enterprise.
- Identify gaps within existing data architecture and recommend alternative solutions.
- Create and manage capability matrixes for a specific technology domain
- Develop database cloud migration strategies
- Participate in the definition of technical standards and guidelines that pertain to data and information-use, security, access and governance.
- Develop best practices for NoSQL designs. Develop training and best practices material to be socialized across the enterprise
Job Qualifications
4 years minimum MongoDB architecture and design experience.
- Possess at least 3 years’ experience developing applications leveraging NoSQL databases
- Possess at least 4 years’ experience working with database architectures for relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.)
- 4 years in designing database availability architectures
- Skilled with designing high-performance architecture along with performance and tuning
- Knowledgeable in NoSQL best practices and industry trends
- Proven experience with logical / physical data modeling across a number of different data management platforms (ie. Oracle-Exadata, SQL Server, Hadoop, NoSQL, NewSQL, etc.)
- Exposure to solution involving Graph database technologies
- Experience with several Business Intelligence tools (ie. SAP Business Objects, Tableau, etc.)
- Experience in researching and evaluating vended application database architectures and toolsets

- Ability to analyze and interpret complex concepts
- Strong problem solving skills with the ability to offer why one technical solutions is more preferable than another
- Ability to work in a team environment in a collaborative manner
- Proven track record of sound, effective decision making
- Able to lead and facilitate design sessions
- Good communication and written skills
- Bachelor’s Degree required
