Are you currently an experienced leader who has had success driving and leading an IT Talent Acquisition team? If so, we have an exciting opportunity to lead a team of 15 outstanding talent acquisition professionals (managers and recruiters) who are dedicated and committed to finding the best tech talent and enticing that talent to join Liberty Mutual. The Head of IT Talent Acquisition is a highly visible position that will collaborate with senior leaders and talent professionals to develop and execute strategies to support all recruitment needs within the technology space across the enterprise. Responsibilities:

  • Leads and develops team of recruiting managers and recruiters. Ensures clear goals and accountabilities are established and achieved. Attracts and develops high-performing team
  • Guides implementation and measurement of sourcing and recruiting strategies and tactics that emphasizes quality and diversity of slates, process efficiency, candidate experience and strong client management
  • Collaborates frequently with senior managers or executives to devise short and long term plans, communicate talent acquisition activities and market intelligence and to solicit VOC
  • Participates in development of annual business strategies ensuring talent needs or recruiting issues are addressed.
  • Evaluates external labor market conditions and analyzes internal hiring trends, turnover rates and candidate and hiring manager feedback to inform recruiting programming or improvements
  • Inspires team creativity in uncovering new and innovative methods or channels to yield talent pools
  • Strengthens team competency level in direct sourcing techniques and effective messaging and branding to gain attention of passive candidates
  • Demonstrates solid understanding of aligned business group’s priorities and strategic/operational challenges and ensures team understands and can articulate how their role links to the bigger picture
  • Utilizes Dashboard and standardized reports to assess operational results and balance workloads for optimum team efficiency
  • Emphasizes importance of providing internal and external candidates with a differentiated, fair, consistent, well-organized experience that has a high level of communication regardless of the outcome
  • Champions Experienced Talent Acquisition & D&I priorities within team and ensures tactics, goals and expected contribution is communicated and understood
  • Fosters a culture within team that promotes, recognizes and rewards continuous-improvement, best practice sharing and creative thinking
  • Operates with a cost mind set and recognizes opportunities to reduce expense or maximize investment

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years full life cycle recruiting experience in an agency or corporate setting
  • 5+ years developing, coaching and managing performance in a team environment
  • Experience leading technical teams and knowledge of software engineering and digital creative market highly desirable
  • Experience benchmarking, designing and implementing “best in class” innovative strategies, processes and programs to meet short term and long term talent needs
  • Strong analytical skills; applies qualitative and quantitative insights to inform decisions
  • Visionary thinker and creative problem solver
  • Possesses maturity, credibility and presence to successfully interact with and influence leaders
  • Maintains active recruiting network and invests in staying updated on recruiting trends and technology
  • Embodies continuous improvement mindset
  • Ability to flex and prioritize on a consistent basis in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Unquestioned integrity and ability to handle sensitive issues
  • Strong organizational skills, business acumen and effective process orientation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in using Excel, PowerPoint, applicant tracking or candidate management systems and reporting and analytics tools
