About the role:

As Manager, Consumer Insights you will lead qualitative and quantitative research efforts to support the Solaria Labs product innovation initiatives. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with a wide range of qual and quant research methodologies and be comfortable creating custom research approaches to answer difficult questions. They will also have a passion for thinking creatively and partnering with the Solaria Labs team to bring new products to market. You will work in a fast paced environment to help understand emerging consumer trends, identify unmet consumer needs, evaluate new product concepts and test in-market product launches and marketing. Your role will be to both conduct research and serve as a research SME in guiding a team of innovators to conduct their own research. You will utilize research platforms and tools to provide customer sample files, extract and analyze data, interpret results, and present findings.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage agile market research projects, within timeline and budgets, including working closely with stakeholders in Solaria Labs to review all operational components of projects.

  • Identify optimal research methodology for each project. Typical research methodologies include MaxDiff, Conjoint, User Experience Testing, Focus Groups, Online Focus Groups, Simulation and A/B testing.

  • Moderates qualitative research including focus groups, IDIs, ideation sessions, and online focus groups.

  • Performs quality checks at various stages of the research to ensure accuracy and perform data analysis

  • Prepares reports and presentations in easy to understand formats for stakeholders

  • Develop an understanding of our stakeholders’ business issues and the workstreams in which they operate

  • Supports and guides other team members on conducting their own research initiatives

  • Perform user experience testing to ensure optimal mobile and website customer experience and desired success business metrics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 7 or more years of business experience applying market research to business planning

  • Advanced business degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of insurance a plus.
  • Knowledge of primary, secondary, and database analysis research methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Qualtrics, SPSS, Validately, Userzoom or SAS statistical program.
  • Strong quantitative analysis, problem solving, and project management skills
  • Experience leading qualitative research sessions
  • Possess a willingness to develop self in both primary and secondary research approaches.
  • Strong attention to detail and strong written communication skills.
  • Ability to use research as a tool in decision making
