Position Summary

Develops business cases for proposed technology, staff, and structure changes, including cost estimates. Develops and leads redesign/reorganization initiatives. Drives business awareness of quality/process methodology.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for optimizing business performance by enhancing the alignment between business processes and technology.
  • Leads and directs the creation/execution of the tactical plan and ensures departmental goals are met in accordance with the overall strategic direction of the organization.
  • Identifies best practices and solutions and applies these to meet efficiency and cost objectives measurements.
  • Develops operational budgets and goals for unit.
  • Leads the design of overall process structure, including creating a process hierarchy that streamlines processes and drives efficiency.
  • Establishes process-related policies, standards, governance and methodologies to enable the business to seamlessly adopt a process culture
  • Analyzes and documents existing processes, formats and supporting systems and makes improvements as needed
  • Continuously monitors of process performance (e.g. throughput time incidents) and reports performance to responsible management throughout the organization
  • Acts as a champion and subject matter expert/consultant for central operations to strengthen and facilitate continuous improvement.
  • Partners with operational teams on risks and mitigation strategies as well as the overall coordination of services/responsibilities that impact client deliverables.
  • Participates in major projects such as conversions, consolidation, and major operating changes.
  • Upholds the Crawford Code of Conduct.
Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business Administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of ten years of experience in business analysis and/or process engineering experience. Experience developing and executing strategies across multi-disciplinary groups
  • Prior experience managing central units in the financial services area (i.e. banking or insurance)
  • Strategic end-to-end thinking; ability to understand the full flow of activities that impact the customer experience
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to foster a collaborative, productive working environment. Strong teamwork skills and flexibility are a must.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to plan and think strategically
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to standardize and streamline processes and create efficiencies
  • Ability to accomplish goals through influence management and motivation; collaborate with various departments and company members.
  • Ability to make sound business and management decisions to achieve company's objectives.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal direction or oversight in a matrix, highly cross-functional, collaborative, and disbursed organization
