Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
Personal Insurance is looking for an experienced Scrum Master who will support two teams on our Property Release Train.
The Scrum Master has the following responsibilities:
- Responsible for guiding the team and removing impediments to enable successfully meeting iteration commitments
- Identify and manage team risks, issues and dependencies, escalating to the program as appropriate
- Facilitate team continuous improvement
- Ensure the team understands and applies agile practices
- Foster quality practices
- Encourage the team to challenge old norms of development, while keeping focused on the goals of the iteration
- Coordinate solution implementation, delivery, and planning with other Scrum Masters on the Release Train, as applicable
- Facilitate preparation and readiness for team-level agile ceremonies (including iteration planning, demo, stand-up, retrospective)
- Coach the team in self-organization and cross-functional (define/build/test) operation
- Protect the team from over-commitment and from complacency
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required. 2 years of project management experience required.
Education, Work Experience & Knowledge
Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. 5 years of project management experience preferred. Experience managing others and/or project teams preferred.
Licensing or Certificates
Previous training in the following is a plus:
- Leading SAFe 4.5
- SAFe 4.5 Scrum Master
- SAFe 4.5 Advanced Scrum Master
- SAFe 4.5 Product Manager/Product Owner
