Job Family Summary
The Product Management Workstation (PMW) family within Pricing Analytics and Actuarial Services (PA&AS) is accountable for enabling informed pricing strategy development through modeling the impact of potential pricing decisions, providing segmented analysis and measurement of potential customer impacts.
Job Description
The Table Update Team Analyst will collaborate with other members of the PMW Team to provide basic to moderate complexity analytical support to various areas of the organization, primarily actuarial. In addition, the individual will be responsible for supporting several business processes that exist within the team and ensuring the maintenance of Allstate rates within our tools. Project work includes, but not limited to: rate and rule changes that affect premium, minor & major initiatives, basic data validation and other projects that are basic to moderately complex in nature.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilizes available data sources/tools and processes to provide data to internal customers
- Owns multiple project work plans while coordinating requirements of projects across various disciplines (Actuarial/Modeling/Technical), including formal documentation and communication to interested parties
- Verifies accuracy of work completed by co-workers for basic to moderate complexity projects
- Identifies and evaluates improvement of work processes
- Independently recognizes inconsistencies in data and identifies potential solutions
- Forecasts short-term and long-term deliverables of own projects
- Collaborates with Pricing/Analytics to gather requirements to design and build new measurement scenarios of basic to moderate complexity for assigned regions, and communicates timelines
- Executes work flow processes and ensures policies are followed and documented appropriately, leveraging various database canned queries and applications for quality assurance
- Independently determines the best application of data fields/sources to meet accuracy standards, and to identify and resolve basic data issues
- Owns basic to moderately complex ad-hoc data and measurement requests/extractions for business partners
- Executes other job-related duties as assigned including meeting notes, scheduling calls, Excel V-Lookups, pivot tables, charts and reporting
Job Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience; Bachelor Degree preferred
- Basic/Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Intermediate process development skills
- Basic technology skills*; at least one of the following: R, Python, SAS, SQL, VBA, etc.
- *Experience with R and/or Python preferred but not required
- Basic/Intermediate decision-making skills
- Basic/Intermediate time and project management skills
- Intermediate to advanced problem-solving skills
- Intermediate communication skills (written/verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Works effectively in a team environment
