Liberty Mutual IT Hosting Services is actively searching for a Senior Cybersecurity Software Developer to guide in analysis, design, coding, and testing of new software, improvements to existing products, and reporting in support of a variety of cloud based and on-prem software products and services.


Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and peers to create state of the art solutions to meet business and technical opportunities

  • Mentor and coach junior team members

  • Completes project work or other tasks as assigned

  • Assist in development of automated incident response capabilities for Liberty Mutual’s Cloud Ecosystems

  • Work with Technologist and Architects to engineer and implement cloud native cybersecurity technologies

  • Utilize cloud-based APIs when appropriate to integrate tools for securing cloud environments.

  • Provides guidance and assistance to ensure IT controls are designed to mitigate intended risks and operating effectively; ensures cloud engineering best practices are followed.

  • Provides technical expertise and support to clients, IT management and staff in risk assessment and the implementation of appropriate information security procedures and products.

  • Researches and assesses new threats to cloud environments and recommends remedial action.

  • Maintains operational excellence according to specified SLA’s

  • Participates in service desk and on-call rotations

  • Bachelors or Master's degree in technical or business discipline or equivalent experience

  • Generally 5+ years of professional experience

  • Strong oral and written communication skills; presentation skills

  • Proficient in negotiation, facilitation and consensus building skills

  • Proficient in new and emerging technologies


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ more years’ experience in the Information Security and/or relevant field, with experience supporting private and public cloud deployments, clear passion for cloud Security and Cloud technologies

  • Knowledge of Cloud infrastructure, security architectures, and standards, technical knowledge of Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure Security Center, Microsoft E5, AWS Guard Duty, AWS Lambda

  • Experience with DevOps and supporting technologies

  • Able to demonstrate clear understanding of current threats to Cloud infrastructure and/or IT infrastructures at technical and managerial levels

  • Experience with implementing security in a CI/CD pipeline preferred
