Job Description
The PMO Governance function is responsible for designing, developing, managing, supporting and leading innovative solutions that elevate transparency, visibility and accountability of the critical work in the Claims Organization. This entry-level role is responsible for project coordination and supporting the Governance manager and team in coordination of key governance initiatives and projects that are in flight and up-coming. This job requires partnership with Claims team members, leaders and occasionally external areas such as Finance, Communications and other business units at Allstate. You will create and maintain project plans, manage tasks assigned to resources within the Governance team, track achievement of tasks and project milestones, analyze and communicate project metrics, and provide regular updates to leadership. You will also facilitate and maintain certain Governance processes, like Go to Market. The job requires someone who is a self-starter, thinks creatively, acts as a thought partner and implementing quality projects on time with quality.Key Responsibilities
Project Management-
Assists in the design of organization-wide governance and project management standards, materials, documents, processes, and procedures
Partners with business stakeholders to establish project objectives, timelines, milestones, and deliverables
Delivers project results through motivation and teamwork and engages appropriate stakeholders at the right time
Acts as a thought partner, asking probing questions to keep projects focused and on track
Seeks guidance and takes coaching well from Governance manager
Delivers project communication easily understood by any audience
Motivates others to share in project challenges and inspires them to achieve project goals
Directs performance of daily tasks necessary for successful project execution
Reviews, analyzes, and presents project metrics to leadership as needed
Job Qualifications
-
Education: Associates Degree preferred
Experience: 1+ years of project coordination or related experience
Demonstrated track record in delivering simple to medium complex projects and/or programs with a strong focus on execution
Written/verbal communication and facilitation skills for communicating at team leadership meetings
Strong collaboration skills
Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Visio, Project, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
Ability to interact effectively with internal customers
