A key player on Travelers Enterprise Digital Marketing team, our Content Marketing Operations Consultant helps manage the day-to-day web page creation and publishing operations aligned to our enterprise content marketing strategy. The Content Marketing Operations Consultant supports the achievement of both enterprise and business line goals by collaborating with team members to ensure content meets business and legal requirements, brand standards, and is optimized for search, UX, design and conversion. S/he will be the primary publisher for Enterprise managed web channels as well as provide supplementary publishing support to our International marketing partners.
 
The Content Marketing Operations Consultant is organized and efficient and manages the digital content approval process, working closely with business marketing partners and legal to ensure timely production in compliance with SLAs. S/he should understand the basics of  good UX design, be well versed in web design best practices and have experience working with creative and agency resources to source imagery and develop interactive and multi-media content under the direction of a Content Editor. S/he should be familiar with agile marketing methods including the concept of using Kanban to manage workflow and track the progress of the content production process.   
 
Successful candidates are passionate about content marketing and web experience with an interest in learning and working across a variety of digital marketing channels. Experience with other channels and facets of marketing are desirable. A results-driven approach, bias towards action, attention to detail and commitment to test and learn are essentials for success, as is a collaborative, positive work style.

Content trafficking and approval process:  Use agile marketing principles to traffic content through the review and approval process. Work with business partners to obtain marketing, product and legal approval using Workfront Proof. Lead bi-weekly stand up meetings to help facilitate communications across Enterprise Marketing Teams and Business Unit partners.

Enterprise Content Publishing: Understand basic User Experience, web design and SEO principles to build optimized, highly converting web pages. Use the TeamSite CMS to build and publish content on travelers.com, YouTube and other supported channels and websites. Support business partners ad hoc publishing needs and serve as consultant for publishing best practices and web governance guidelines.   

Project Management: Play a well-defined supporting role in project management support when working with internal and external stakeholders, technology vendors and agencies. Help document marketing requirements for more complex digital marketing programs and marketing technology.
Creative content production: Coordinate with Creative Services to source imagery and design interactive and mutli-media assets based on direction from the Content Editors. Ensure assets meet brand guidelines and provide relevant feedback if necessary.  

Analytics Support: Understand and/or learn Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Work with Enterprise Digital Marketing Analytics team to ensure that the appropriate tags are implemented via the CMS to measure content and campaign performance. Identify opportunity for improving engagement, acquisition and/or retention.

Training and development: Help develop and deliver digital marketing and CMS training, depending on needs and priorities.
Participate in collaborative discussions with business partners to document their goals, make recommendations to digital marketing leadership regarding strategies and tactics to achieve goals and provide well-defined support in crafting materials (e.g. decks, research) to present the team's recommendations related to digital channels, including but not limited to digital advertising, social, email, mobile and content.

Participate in relevant centers of excellence to evangelize best practices and drive the development of best-in-class marketing programs across business lines and the enterprise, utilizing internal and external partners.  

Act as a day-to-day point of contact and/or back up others as a contact for external vendor relationships (e.g. agencies, technology vendors, consultants) as assigned.

Bachelor's degree marketing or related field or equivalent experience preferred.

3 or more years of digital marketing and web publishing experience preferred.
 
Experience providing creative direction to designers
 
Prefer candidates who have experience with TeamSite Content Management Tool, Workfront Proof and/or Rally

Proven experience with at least one digital marketing channel or area of expertise and  working knowledge of data-driven content marketing

Working knowledge of social media marketing
 
Working knowledge of digital media concepts
 
Experience in insurance and/or financial services desirable
 
Working Knowledge:  Understands basic principles and terminology to understand and solve simple problems).
 
General Knowledge:  Possesses sufficient knowledge to perform most work in normal situations.)

Basic analytical skills as well as verbal and written communication skills. Basic time and project management skills Maintains basic skills and understanding of digital advertising landscape. Basic ability to evaluate effectiveness of programs. Demonstrated flexibility and basic ability to think outside the box. Basic skill/competency level: demonstrates basic knowledge and ability; can apply the competency in common/familiar situations that present limited difficulties

Minimum of 1 year of experience.
