CRAW - iCIMS - InternalAudit

Position Summary

Performs audits and reviews of complex financial, operational, and IT processes (including internal controls) in various areas of the organization. Identifies exceptions to procedures and standards, and develops specific solutions or recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in complex audit projects and may perform routine assignments independently.
  • Work independently or with the assistance of others to perform risk assessments for the purposes of audit scoping.
  • Performs tests and analyses, gathers audit evidence, evaluates results, and develops conclusions about the adequacy of internal controls. Documents the work performed and conclusions according to departmental standards.
  • Demonstrates ability to apply technical knowledge to identify and research significant accounting and internal control issues during an audit. Also contributes thoughtful alternatives or solutions for the purposes of proposing potential remediation plans to Company management.
  • Prepares accurate, concise, professional written communications to be shared with senior management, clients, and/or the Audit Committee. Participate in meetings with Company management to discuss audit findings with management.
  • Performs other job responsibilities and duties as assigned by Management.
  • Upholds the Crawford Code of Conduct.
Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a business-related field is required. Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems is desired.
  • Five to seven years of auditing, accounting or related experience. Knowledge of accounting, finance and internal control areas is required.
  • Comprehension of professional auditing standards, US GAAP, SOX, COSO and risk-assessment practices.
  • Certification as a CPA or CIA preferred.
  • Strong project management abilities as well as excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Pursues training and continuing education in auditing and as well as accounting and information technology areas.
