The Data Verification Specialist is responsible for the input/duplication of the uniform billing or breakdown of Itemization charges into our proprietary software system in a timely and accurate manner while meeting production volume expectations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Concentrated work on high level bills
  • Responsible for cross checking patient, provider information as accurate upon initial receipt of assigned files and prior to input.
  • Responsible for line item inputting of breakdown charges into CorVel databases.
  • Ensure department quality control protocols are followed with the utilization of all tools provided.
  • Quality & timely communication with other departments on line item details related issues.
  • Responsible for meeting daily and monthly production standards.
  • Monthly submissions of CorVel data systems production to supervisor's.
  • Assist all department employees in the effort to reach company goals.
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance in all aspects of communications.
  • May provide assistance in training of new employees.
  • Punctual and consistent attendance is required in this position.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Strong ability to communicate effectively and clearly in all forms of communications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Detail Oriented.
  • Goal oriented with eagerness to achieve and surpass quota.
  • Ability to consistently communicate with multiple individuals.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • The ability to work independently.
  • The ability to work in a fast paced and high production environment.
  • Alpha and 10 Key keystrokes-8,000-10,000 kph and accuracy rate of 95% or more.

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
