The Finance Delivery team within the GRM Finance Services organization is seeking two hands-on, data-driven, and customer-obsessed Sr. Product Owners comfortable leading both directly and through influence in a hybrid-agile development environment to create a unified and scalable global general ledger (GL). The goal of the global GL program is to establish standardized and simplified finance processes to enable streamlined financial reporting to help drive efficiencies and deeper business analytics. The ideal candidates will possess strong financial acumen and be equally proficient technically, as both skills will be required to have an informed, independent voice. Additionally, as a servant leader a major part of the role will involve providing constant feedback, support and coaching to the members of your team, enabling them to grow & develop. The Sr. Product Owners will both report to the GL PMO Lead.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for delivering the Global GL Program objectives on time and within approved budget for their respective waves.

  • Responsible for communicating the GL product vision effectively to key stakeholders and team members. Works closely with third-party consultants, IT (onshore & offshore) and East/West business partners to ensure resource alignment in support of the GL product vision and roadmap

  • Provide support to their Wave and Country Deployment Leads on all wave management activities

  • Provides daily/weekly updates to the Project Management Office

  • Oversees end to end delivery of deployment for their respective waves

  • Owns alignment of deployment resources on GL program goals and priorities while working with stakeholders and team to remove roadblocks to execution.

  • Directly manages a team of Global Requirements Lead/Product Owner/ Analysts who are responsible for all aspects of the GL deployment within their assigned wave.

  • Provides feedback, support and coaching as a servant leader to team members

  • Leads the analysis of feasibility, cost ramifications, economies, or other aspects of planned or potential trade-off decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of Agile development methodologies as typically acquired through a Bachelors degree in relevant field (business, computer science, etc.) and a minimum of 7-10 years experience in business, engineering, technology and/or consulting. Masters degree preferred.

  • High level of proven business expertise needed to set clear priorities for product and understand business value impacts.

  • Finance/General Ledger experience highly preferred.

  • International work experience highly preferred.

  • Proven leader with strong servant leadership and coaching skills.

  • Strong influencing skills in order to be seen as the decision maker when interfacing with business, and willingness to dissent with both teams and business. Comfortable with making decisions with some level of uncertainty.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Travel expectations: 10-25%
