How This Role Contributes to Brighthouse Financial:

We are currently seeking a qualified candidate to become a member of the Life Insurance Product Management and Testing Team, which supports and drives the successful system implementation of Brighthouse Financial Life Insurance and Annuity Products. In this role, the ideal candidate will be responsible for executing product and calculation testing of Life Insurance and Annuity Products which are being developed for sale and being implemented in the Brighthouse Financials’ Administration & Illustration systems. The candidate chosen for this role must possess the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment; work independently and collaborate effectively within a high-performing team of qualified individuals; and produce quality results. This role is critical to the Brighthouse vision of delivering high-quality products to the marketplace that add value to our customer’s lives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute product and calculation testing of Individual Life and Annuity Products using product business requirements and calculation testing tools to ensure that all product-related information and calculations in the administrative, illustration, and downstream systems are accurate.
• Support team in developing test plans, test matrices, and test cases based upon Product, Business and Tax Requirements for product and calculation testing, preparing expected results using actuarial tools, and debugging value mismatches between system and test tools.
• Support debugging of value mismatches between the administrative/illustration/downstream systems and the testing tool, including root cause analysis.
• Provide support to IT and Test Tool Developer with interpretation of Product and Tax Requirements; work with product managers and tax control specialists to resolve open questions.
• Manage critical relationships with IT, consultants and vendors, internal end users, and business customers/leadership.

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Bachelor's degree in mathematics, business, finance, or related field. Strong technical skills; problem-solving and analytical abilities; and ability to learn new technologies. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing skills. 1-2 + years' work experience in a corporate environment preferred. 1-2 + years' experience in MS Excel including building/interpreting complex mathematical formulas. 6+ months experience working independently with some supervision preferred. Some knowledge of life insurance products preferred. Proven experience in eliciting requirements and testing.
