Job Details
Responsible for routine to moderately complex Payroll tax return preparation, updates to employee tax records, manage garnishment orders as well as compile consistent, accurate and efficient information for Payroll tax reporting and compliance. Works on special projects as needed.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensure timely and accurate preparation of and filing of payroll tax returns, including quarterly estimates. Recommend and implement processes that improve the efficiency and accuracy of payroll tax compliance related activities.
2. Under direction of Payroll Tax Manager, conduct research and provide summary of work with supporting documentation for Payroll tax positions.
3. Work with SBUs and other Corporate Financial departments to ensure that Payroll tax-related inquiries are timely and accurately addressed
4. Assist with implementation of timely, cost-effective Payroll tax planning strategies designed to create value and enhance the Company's worldwide tax position.
5. Interprets and responds to wage garnishment inquiries as needed.
6. Tests departmental attestation controls on a quarterly basis.
7. Researches variances using available resources. Tests and documents resolutions.
8. Assists with the testing of payroll system upgrades, patching, and product deployments.
9. Assist with year-end taxation reporting.
Qualifications:
BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business (or BS degree and equivalent tax or accounting experience) plus a minimum of 1 year of related experience required.
