The Global Retail Markets (GRM) Strategy Team is responsible for analyzing trends, the market & competitive landscape, setting the strategy for GRM, Regions and Markets, and driving the ongoing operationalization of our strategy

As Manager of GRM Strategic Insights within the broader GRM Strategy team you will keep a pulse on the external competitive environment and future trends to drive strategic decision making for the organization. You will gain a broad understanding of how the world will evolve, and an in-depth understanding of Competitor strategy. You will closely interact with the Strategy leads for US, East, West and GRM to inform cross-functional projects tied to our top strategic priorities and imperatives. You will act as a central point of contact for the GRM and Regional Executive Leadership Teams and Investor Relations on external insights. You will also gain leadership experience through managing a team of direct reports.

The ideal candidate for this role has a strong background in strategic and analytical thinking, an ability to lead cross functional projects and present findings and recommendations to senior management, and welcomes challenging situations and assignments.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead our Global Competitive Intelligence function and engagements with leadership

  • Lead Global and U.S. industry, competitor and market intelligence analyses to drive decision making on the most impactful trend and our competitive position

  • Act as central contact to Investor Relations for Quarterly and Annual Earnings Analysis

  • Drive complex projects and cross-functional deep-dive initiatives forward. Provide insightful analysis and present findings and recommendations to Senior Leadership
  • Establish and foster strong working relationship with peers, within the Strategy and Planning group and Finance, with other functions within across Global Retail Markets

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA or Master's preferred, 7+ years analytic experience in a financial and/or project management environment with exposure to project planning, modeling, cost benefit analysis; Insurance experience preferred, CPCU preferred.
  • Knowledge of business practices and processes
  • Proficiency in using analytic and industry tools, SNL preferred. Strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to summarize large amounts of data/information and integrate into a meaningful story
  • Effective communication skills, ability to communicate upward
  • Ability to manage cross functional project work and balance multiple deliverables across working groups
