Senior Production Control Analyst

 

The Automobile Club of Southern California is seeking a Senior Production Control Analyst that can provide support and interface with vendors to improve efficiency within our organization. 

 

 About this position:

  • Develop and manage Data Center Services (DCS) projects utilizing Clarizen, MS project and MS office software. 
  • Represent DCS on Information System (IS) projects and primary team member for DCS software upgrades and replacement projects. 
  • Become the IS liaison for any project support efforts. 
  • Responsible for software product support interfacing with vendors, application and systems programming for troubleshooting, applying fixes, and installation of new releases. 
  • Develop and prepare Enterprise Workload (Job Scheduling) Control-M products and OPSMVS system automation for use by IS teams and Business staff. 
  • Perform a leadership role in the design and administration of job scheduling policies. 
  • Create, maintain, review and update Enterprise Workload controls. 
  • Ensure scheduling updates are review and promoted to production schedules. 
  • Support Control-M development solutions for IS team usage. 
  • Provide scheduling support for Network Operation Center and Production Control. 
  • Work with IS teams to ensure compliance with ACE policy and standards.
  • Work with IS teams to ensure the recoverability of applications for switchover and failover processes. 
  • Manage system automation for the command center monitoring of mainframe events. 
  • Create, maintain, review and update mainframe products for system automation, JCL management, automated balancing and report distribution. 
  • Develop programs for automation solutions in REXX, PowerShell, and C Sharp or similar languages. Perform complex second level troubleshooting of operations incidents with batch job processing (mainframe and distributed), Job Scheduling, Enterprise Backup and Change Management processes. 
  • Develop detailed solutions through analysis and utilize supplied software solutions. 
  • Share in 24x7 on-call responsibilities, maintaining the availability and performance of production batch processing as well as production control processes.

Qualifications

  • Business degree in computer science, computer operations, or data processing preferred or equivalent work experience. 
  • Experience in integrated systems support or job and data recovery functions for a complex, large, multi-platform data center. 
  • Experience working on job scheduling, solutions managing distributed server and mainframe systems.  
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required. 
  • Ability to program in REXX, PowerShell, and C-Sharp scripting languages.
  • Web development preferred, but not required.
