Job Details

As a Lead Business Systems Analyst you must have experience and knowledge of Agile methodology, specific to the Scrum Framework. You are an expert in documenting and mapping business processes to identify process waste and collaborate with business and IT partners on designing and implementing solutions.

This position provides Scrum expertise and team leadership on major, complex initiatives under strict timelines. You are responsible for providing support and mentoring for junior Business Systems Analysts on their day to day, including the Scrum framework, while working on projects assigned to you.

The voice of the customer – You are an IT liaison during all project phases and Scrum ceremonies; provides strategic advice for business processes and solutions; collaborates with business stakeholders to define and document the ‘business need’ into clear and precise user stories with testable acceptance criteria and verifiable story goals.

Qualifications:

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • 7 to 8 years of progressive Business Systems Analyst experience in an Information Technology environment.
  • 3+ years in a member of a Scrum team as a Business Analyst.
  • Requires expert knowledge of Team Foundation Server (TFS).
  • 2+ years in a BA lead role.
  • Works closely with the Product Owner to gain an understanding of the features, business value and priority of requests.
  • Requires ability to coach, lead and mentor analysts with less experience on their day to day, as well as provide guidance on writing user stories.
  • Requires ability to write precise user stories with testable acceptance criteria and verifiable story goals.
  • Requires ability to effectively manage multiple assignments and priorities.
  • Requires ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to management, team members, business and technology professionals.
  • Requires ability to analyze, document and map complex business processes, propose effective solutions to eliminate process ‘waste’.
  • Requires ability to deliver results on time and within budget.
  • Scrum Certification, Lean Six Sigma and/or Business Analyst Certification a plus.
