Job Description
The Product team coordinates the strategy, filing and implementation of new and existing products, services or business models (i.e., financial structures) that drive growth, improve the customer experience, and deliver an acceptable return on investment through Allstate Benefits (AB) distribution channels. This team is responsible for ensuring all AB products follow state laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides clear direction and guidance for ABs Products & New Product Initiatives which includes development and implementation of overall product strategy for AB in all distribution channels. Establish operational objectives with AB sales team to identify products that are at risk or reduced due to competitive actions; identify, analyze and implement new strategic initiatives that will drive incremental revenue with acceptable returns to AB.
- Build capabilities to collect, analyze and use competitor information (info from AB sales team, product filings, etc) to inform and drive product features and changes
- Recommends and implements changes to the Product team whereby significant bench strength is built to ensure future continuity of product development and management at AB.
- Manage new products and product enhancements through market analysis and research in coordination with pricing, risk management, sales and marketing
- Coordinate product / pricing packages for Channel Price Product Review group which includes product design, financial forecast, strategic significance and channel conflict
- Manages Compliance to include negotiation of product forms and rate approvals with State Insurance Departments; Maintains working relationships with all cross-functional areas to facilitate resolution and share information.
- Project Management to drive the implementation of new or revised product offerings by providing oversight and direction across the organization including all aspects of Operations, IT and product launch to the field.
- Manage multiple teams and significant assignments, access and anticipate resource needs including skills and training requirements; direct and is responsible for work that needs to be performed by the teams; ensure all department goals are met. Establishes budgets, staffing and expense priorities.

Job Qualifications
Education and Experience
- 10 or more years of related Experience
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience; May also have advanced degree
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- PMP Certification is highly desired
Functional Skills

Advanced expertise and project/process management skills in managing and/or developing specific processes and services associated with compliance
Formulate and implement product strategies and understand the effect of risk and benefits of alternatives, drawing conclusions, developing mitigation strategies and making recommendations for appropriate courses of action
Strong ability to model, measure, analyze and communicate profitability by line of business and distribution channel
Ability to analyze and implement strategies that will generate incremental revenue and profitability
Ability to develop employee skill sets at all levels within the AOR
