Job Family Summary
Business Human Resources provides day-to-day HR support and consulting to the organization. This work is both strategic and operational in nature and is done in collaboration and consultation with business leadership. This work includes the delivery, consulting and analysis that supports a wide variety of talent programs or initiatives for a specific business unit/client. Examples of this work would include general consulting and various aspects of the talent management lifecycle including workforce planning, learning and development, succession, compensation administration, inclusive diversity, etc
Job Description
The Business Human Resources Senior Manager is a business partner role is embedded in the business, consulting with business unit senior leaders and their teams, translating business needs to develop and implement human capital strategies that support achievement of business goals. In addition to building relationships and developing an extensive understanding of the business, the HR Senior Manager collaborates with a team of HR functional experts to implement talent solutions designed to support the achievement of business unit and enterprise goals.
This position will be based in Jacksonville, Florida and have primary business partner support responsibility for Allstate Benefits, a leading provider of voluntary employee benefit solutions. Secondary responsibilities will include site and consulting support to business leaders and HR consultants who have employees located at the Allstate Jacksonville campus including Claims, Legal, Technology and Allstate Dealer Services.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Management & Planning attract, develop, motivate and retain key talent critical to the achievement of business objectives

Lead talent assessment, segmentation, development, succession management and reward efforts to ensure a robust talent pipeline is in place
Consult proactively with leaders on organizational change strategies that ensure the success of business strategies and priorities
Develop and maintain a strong awareness of the talent implications of external business trends
Consult proactively with leaders on effective talent management strategies to identify, select, develop and retain the right talent
Participate in cross-functional initiatives and collaborate with HR COEs to influence development, innovation and delivery of customer-centric talent solutions
Advise management on effective talent development, workforce planning and sustainability strategies
People Consulting develop strategic business cases and analyses to inform business decision making

Leverage effective organization design/job design and change methodologies to maximize business impact
Improve employee engagement by acting as a steward of the culture, creating plans that connect people priorities to organizational mission, vision and values to achieve maximum productivity
Manage time and company resources appropriately and prioritizes activities to maximize business performance
Advise business leaders on strategies for effectively managing their organizations effectiveness in pursuit of talent and business outcomes
Ensure compliance with HR-related federal, state, local and company rules and regulations
Advise and influence management on effective workforce transition strategies
Provide oversight for all consultation with sales leaders pertaining to agent contract provisions

Utilizes data in appropriate ways to address critical business questions
Measures the success and effectiveness of talent-related business initiatives and priorities
Job Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree preferred
- 10+ years of professional experience in Human Resources
- HR Certification(s) preferred
- Strong business acumen
- Deep HR expertise and knowledge of best practices
- Able to build comprehensive long-term integrated talent strategies to support sustainable growth
- Has driven business outcomes through effective people and talent strategies in an HR business partner or similar role
- Analytical, uses data and insights to influence and inform leadership decisions and encourages other to do the same
- Able to think strategically, but also focus on tactical and operational issues
- Develops effective and empowered teams able to execute with precision and speed
- Demonstrated change agility able to quickly and effectively respond to changing business needs
- Creates a culture of accountability and inclusive diversity at all levels
- Influential communicator clear, honest, effective to all levels, internally and externally
- Experienced driving cultural change and organizational development initiatives
- Effective at leading through influence not necessarily through authority
- Transparent and authentic
- Advanced time and project management skills including ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize and organize, and create alignment and buy in from clients and direct reports
- Ability to establish, manage and leverage relationships with internal and external partners
