Allstate Insurance has an exciting career opportunity for a Large Loss Property Adjuster in South Seattle, WA!

As a Large Loss Property Adjuster, you will be negotiating and settling complex and occasionally highly complex property damage and liability insurance claims in which our Allstate customers are involved. This will require travel to the loss site to conduct a thorough analysis. This role requires advanced technical estimating skills, as you will be handling complex and highly complex claims. To be successful, you will need to deliver compassionate service that is fast, fair, and easy, while maintaining superior customer satisfaction throughout the claim process to ensure customer retention. In this role, you will be providing mentoring and coaching to the team. The individual works independently, prioritizes responsibilities, and manage workload to consistently meet band level behaviors, production, quality and/or customer service goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Makes and maintains a connection with the customer by understanding and meeting their needs; serves the customer with empathy; and follows up to ensure that customer needs have been met
- Reviews customer satisfaction results; recommends, designs, and implements personal and business unit action plan
- Handles first notice of loss of water damage claims
- Provides coverage explanation to customer
- Reviews files and makes recommendations to refer files to Home Office for escalation
- Completes and reviews contents inventory, contents pricing, and mitigation bills
- Notifies insured of exposure over the policy limit
- Handles ALE (additional living expense) claims
- Handles claims involving sink-holes, extra-contractual liability, or claims that include Public Adjuster involvement
- Inspects and estimates water damage, hail damage, or smoke and fire damage in a dwelling
- Adheres to applicable compliance standards
- Negotiates and settles claims in accordance with business unit standard methodologies
- Conducts subrogation investigations

Please note, there is a required 2-week training that will take place in Wheeling, IL.

Failure to complete these requirements within the time frame designated by the hiring department may result in the termination of your employment with Allstate Insurance Company.

Working environment
Please note that, since this is a field service position, you will need to have a valid drivers license. This is a demanding field position that will require you to travel within the territory as much as 75% of your working time. As a result, you must be willing to work some weekend and extended hours if necessary.
Ideal Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years property adjusting or construction experience
- Bachelors degree preferred
- Knowledge of Xactimate strongly preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a passion for helping others.
- Strong organizational and computer skills.
- Persistence and the ability to work through and solve problems.
- Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply
- Has and maintains all appropriate licenses and registrations for the role per state requirements
