Job Introduction:

The Hosting Services organization is looking to hire a Scrum Master II within the Agile Program Office. The focus of the Agile Program Office is to assist Hosting Services teams in their Agile journey. The intention of the Scrum Master II is to be an embedded Scrum master on Hosting Service Agile teams, assist in transforming Hosting Services Agile teams, coaching support for implementing Agile Frameworks, and Agile roles. They will also support Agile work efforts that have a dependency across a small number of teams to deliver the needed solution. The candidate for this role will have the ability to work with multiple teams in Hosting both vertically and horizontally.

About the job:

  • Generally, leads more than one scrum teams; on moderate to high complexity programs. Oversees scrum process and coaches the teams on how to use scrum and Agile practices and disciplines.
  • Facilitates transparency, inspection, and adaption.
  • Lead daily scrums, sprint reviews, and planning meetings to ensure full team engagement. Manages interdependencies between agile teams.
  • Works with the Product Owners to support short and long-term release planning, and to keep work backlog healthy and prepared for execution.
  • Shields the teams from external interference to enable optimal functionality and productivity.
  • Anticipates and addresses potential or actual impediments to team delivery (cultural barriers, logistic challenges).
  • Coaches junior Scrum Masters and coaches team members on agile practices.

Desired skills:

  • Bachelors degree in computer science or a related discipline

  • Minimum 8+ years experience of IT Project / Program Management experience.

  • Strong knowledge of agile principles and concepts.
  • Displays strong communication, organizational, analytical, critical thinking, and team building skills.
  • Advanced presentation, influencing, and relationship management skills.
  • Experience working in a scaled agile framework preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of business functions and extensive understanding of business operations, strategies and objectives.

Preferred Skills:

  • Scrum certification strongly preferred.
